Pipeline, Parks, Performing, Promoting, & More!PIPELINE
Submissions Due: 9/9 at 11PM Show: 9/11 at 6PM in the DCH Training Center. Submissions are now open for a brand new show taking place in the DCH Training Center: PIPELINE. All DCH students, performers, and staff are welcome to submit for and attend this event! This first show will be an internal event so we can work out any kinks and hopefully expand the audience for future shows. Pipeline is a laid-back, semi-themed show for odds and ends bits — anything you have that’s currently “in the pipeline.” No bit is too dumb or too underdeveloped for this show. This month’s incredibly loose theme is “inaugural.” Feel free to use it, or don’t. There will also be $1 hotdogs (YUM!) LEVEL ONE JAM Tuesday, 9/6 at 7PM We'll start at 7 in the bar, then mosey on over to the theater for some good ol' fashioned improv jam! If you're in Level 1, come get some stage time and meet other students. If you're a student in a different level or a graduate, come introduce yourself! We'll see you there. HEADSHOTS Tuesday, 9/6 from 6:15-7:15PM Jason Hensel will be taking headshots in the Training Center. $20, then you can stick around for the Level One Jam! HONOR ROLL Tonight, 8/31 at 10:30PM We're starting a new show for students! After King of the Mountain tonight, stick around and put your Student ID in a drawing to play in a show with Kyle Austin and Timmy Mayse. It'll be fun and wacky and fun. #CROWDUS The Month of September Starting September 4th, the Deep Ellum Foundation is building a temporary park on Crowds Street to see what it would be like if Deep Ellum had a real-life park in it! There will be programming every night of the month (including a week dedicated to showing what celebrating different holidays might look like in a future park). You can check out the full calendar and learn more at reimaginecrowdus.com. NOTE: Deep Ellum may be busier than normal and there will be no parking on Crowds during the month of September. However, all paid lots and other street parking will not be affected, nor will traffic going down Elm, Main, or Commerce. Go check out the park before class or between rehearsals: they want to know your feedback. You can also gain more attention to the experiment using #CROWDUS on social media. MARKETING MATERIALS Wanna promote your show, but don't know where to start? We updated our Marketing & Promoting page on this site, and pulled it to the top of the page so it's easier to find. Thanks to Jua Holt, there are now lots of resources for making posters and art right here on our very own DCH Backstage.
