New Rooms! New Toys! New Shows! New Info!It might be the end of a very long year (ugh. 2016. just end already), but thre are lots of new things to look forward to - this week and beyond!
New Toys Tell your friends to bring unwrapped, new toys to DCH tomorrow (Thursday) and get into shows for free. One toy = one ticket, so bring three toys and all the shows are free! The toy drive will benefit the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center. Even if you already get in for free, we'd love to support this great organization with lots of toys from our comedy family. New Info The DCH Town Hall will take place Tuesday, December 6 at 6:30pm in the Tharp Theater. We will specifically be talking about changes to show submissions and programming. If you have questions to ask, you can attend and ask them in person and/or submit your questions via the slips of paper in the Training Center (there's a really beautiful box). New Shows Block Party is this Thursday at 10:30 - a grand ol' time to see people trying out new and experimental acts. There's also Honor Roll tonight, where you can drop your student ID in a big fishbowl for a chance to play with two great guys. New Rooms We've cleared out furniture (except that piano and organ) to make way for a brand new classroom in the front of the Training Center. The goal is to have this and two other classrooms completed by January 1 so we can continue to expand our course offerings and room rental availability. To cover the construction cost, we are selling naming rights to the three new Training Center rooms. 100% of the proceeds go to construction costs: from leveling and carpeting the floor, to building walls, buying doors, and painting. Name it after yourself. Name it after a troupe. Name it after that person you fell in love with in Level 1 and use it as a way to ask them out on a date and then you'll get married and have children and for generations of your family, your kids will come to DCH and say, "this is where it all began" and take a picture in front of your classroom door while holding a little framed photo of you and your spouse. I don't know. Whatever. Learn more here!
