There will not be a jam tonight, but don't let that stop you from coming out! Intern ApplicationsWant to be a part of the Grand Opening of 3036? Want to register for your next class without spending any money? Intern applications are open. Apply to be a Night Intern or to be a specialty interns for positions like tech, host, photo, blog, and street team interns. All former interns must re-apply. If you have any questions about the internship program, please reach out to [email protected]. Applications are due July 21st by 11:59pm. Show Submissions OpenShow submissions for the abbreviated August schedule are up. You may notice some changes to the process. We've created a rating system, so that we can better set expectations for the audience and the performers. When you submit your show, you'll be asked to evaluate which rating best fits your show and what you want your show to be. Submissions are open for new shows and returning shows! We're gearing up to move into our new forever home at 3036 Elm Street! To get ready, we've updated DCH Backstage. You'll see some information you may already know along with some hot, fresh changes. Some updates will be rolling out as we get closer to the move-in date. Your input and questions are valuable to us. If you see any mistakes or need any clarifications, please reach out to [email protected]. We'll do our best to make this website clear, concise, and correct. Show Submissions: The process for submitting a show has changed a bit. Please read through the pages before submitting your show for August (due July 15th by 11:59pm). Again, if you need clarification or have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to [email protected] Intern Applications: The application process for Term 4 Internships is a bit different than it has been in the past. SAC Social this Saturday at 4:30p The members of our Student-Alumni Council have been working hard on our next social event. Come hang out and see all your DCH Pals this Saturday. We'll meet at Bishop Cidercade, where you can play all the games you want for $10. They've also got delicious drinks and fun food trucks, so you're basically set for the night. Put Your Name on the New DCH! WE'RE GETTING SOOOOO CLOSE to finishing out our forever home at 3036 Elm. We still have a few naming rights up for grabs. If you've been thinking about how you can contribute to the new project, we'd love for you to consider purchasing the naming rights to something at the new DCH. The money received from the naming rights goes directly to help supplement the construction costs for 3036 Elm to make it the bestest, most dreamiest comedy house in all the land. Pop-Up Show at RBCThere's a great line-up for tomorrow night's show at RBC in Deep Ellum. The show starts at 8pm. If you are a current student or performer, you get in for free. Support Showcase Sunday!This Sunday, June 2nd, there will be some great showcases coming out of the DCH Training Center. The shows will start at 2pm at Four Day Weekend East in Lowest Greenville, Dallas. There will be a bar and plenty of laughs. This is a great time to see some storytelling, improv, and sketch comedy. Introducing DCH CouncilsThis spring we launched our first ever council structures for Dallas Comedy House! Made up of eight students and alumni, these two councils serve to provide feedback and assist in planning on behalf of our student and alumni community. Below are the names of council members and a brief description of the council(s) purpose: Diversity Council Guides and informs Dallas Comedy House policies, activities, and initiatives surrounding the growth and support of a diverse student body and performer roster. Three subcommittees include: Programming (assist in the development of more diverse and representative programming), Students (build out stronger scholarship, mentorship, and social programs), and Tools & Resources (compile quality readings, videos, and training for all DCH staff and broader community).
