Time is Running Out to Register for Term 1B Classes!Classes start next week! Ready to level up or try something new? We have availability in the following classes:
Birthaversary!It's our 11th Birthaversary, and DCH will be celebrating all week with special events! Bar callbacks! This week only, we're serving up some old favorites! We've got Caddysnack galore (our signature pub mix, which has FRITOS TWISTS in it), chicken quesadillas and veggie quesadillas (!!!), and yummy birthday cake shots! Birthaversary Maestro! Maestro! is an off-the-rails interactive elimination show, and it only happens once every few months! This show is insanely fun and all of you should go see it. Saturday at 10:00p. Free cupcakes! You heard me! Keeping with tradition, DCH will have free cupcakes available all week at the bar. Buttercream icing, baby! Birthaversary Patio Party! For more information about rentals and pricing, click here. JFL Auditions!Do you have ideas for memorable characters? Or have you been inspired by the recent People Watching shows? You should attend this weekend's JFL audition! The producers of Just For Laughs Montreal are returning for the 11th Annual Dallas Comedy Festival in March 2020. We will be putting up a Character Showcase during DCF in front of the producers and other people from the industry. To get a head start on preparing for this showcase, we will be holding an audition on January 18th at 11:00a. Those auditioning will need to bring seven minutes with at least three different originally written characters. When writing your sets, consider that the producers have seen thousands of comedians. Be original! StuPer Jam!Beginning in 2020, Sunday StuPer jams will be scheduled monthly on the Sunday before Showcase Sunday. The next Showcase Sunday is January 26th, which means we'll have a StuPer Jam this Sunday, January 19th at 4:00p! This is a great way to get some extra practice before your showcase. Or if you don't have a showcase coming up, it's still a great way to have fun, meet new friends, and practice what you've learned in class! The StuPer jam is an internal event, open to all DCH Students and Performers. It's tons of fun! We hope you'll join us! Don't Forget: DCH Town Hall!This coming Monday, January 20th at 7:00p, DCH is hosting the first Town Hall of the new year. This is a great way to stay up to date on theater news and announcements. Try out for a team! Ewing teams will practice weekly and showcase their hard work on the DCH stage. This is a really great way to meet new people, finely tune your improv skills, and get tons of stage time! Auditions are open to graduates, alumni, and students who are currently enrolled in Levels 4, 5, or 6.
