We have TWO showcase days scheduled this week! Sunday, July 21st, at Four Day Weekend, and next Wednesday, July 24th at LIDE! More details on our DCH show calendar. Please come out and show your support!
Be a Dallas Comedy House Intern!
Applications for the August/September intern term are due Sunday, July 21st. You guys - this is an exciting time to intern! In addition to DCH offering a wide variety of intern opportunities this term, this will be the FIRST EVER intern team at our new theater! How exciting! Click here to learn more and apply.
Meet the Newest Additions to Our DCH Family!
We are so excited to welcome Taylor Rexrode and Donald Bennett to the team! These two bring friendly, fun energy with them everywhere they go, and we wish them nothing but happiness and success in their new positions.
As Corporate Sales Manager, Taylor is your go-to gal for booking corporate shows, special events, and group sales. You can also see her perform in Queso Queens, Kill Me Please, Freshly Shaved, and Brownie Troupe #3025! Her favorite food is a greasy cheeseburger, and the last show she binge-watched was Shameless. She does NOT like long walks on the beach because she hates sand.
As General Manager, Donald will rule the magical kingdom of food and beverage! He'll be the jovial fellow you see working hard behind the scenes in the 3036 bar and restaurant. You can also catch Donald on stage with Daddy Long Legs and The Sellouts. His favorite color is green, and he says the worst movie he's ever seen is Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Save the Date!
BIG NEWS! We're shakin' in our boots! The time has come, friends, and we are THRILLED to announce the dates for the Grand Opening of 3036! Support a Level 1 Improv Showcase at 7pm followed by a two-class Stand-Up Showcase at 8pm! Both of these shows will be at Life In Deep Ellum. There will not be a jam tonight, but don't let that stop you from coming out!

Apply to be a Night Intern or to be a specialty interns for positions like tech, host, photo, blog, and street team interns. All former interns must re-apply. Show Submissions Open
Show submissions for the abbreviated August schedule are up. You may notice some changes to the process. We've created a rating system, so that we can better set expectations for the audience and the performers. When you submit your show, you'll be asked to evaluate which rating best fits your show and what you want your show to be. Submissions are open for new shows and returning shows! Submissions are due July 15th by 11:59pm.
A Note from Ashley
So far, in 2019, I've been your What's Up Wednesday writer and friend. I'm passing the torch to Beth Yankuner, Director of Community Experience. She'll be keeping you in the loop on all things related to DCH students, alumni, and performers.
If you have any questions about (or if you notice any mistakes on) the freshly updated DCH Backstage, please feel free to email me directly at email@example.com. It takes a village.
I love our little comedy village. I'm honored and excited to help usher in the new era of DCH. I can't wait for us to make our new home at 3036 Elm Street. I can't wait to see all the new things that we create. I can't wait to see all the new faces that we make smile. Thank you!

Your input and questions are valuable to us. If you see any mistakes or need any clarifications, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org. We'll do our best to make this website clear, concise, and correct.

ANNOUNCEMENTS THIS WEEK...

SAC Social this Saturday at 4:30p
The members of our Student-Alumni Council have been working hard on our next social event. Come hang out and see all your DCH Pals this Saturday. Put Your Name on the New DCH!
WE'RE GETTING SOOOOO CLOSE to finishing out our forever home at 3036 Elm. We still have a few naming rights up for grabs. If you've been thinking about how you can contribute to the new project, we'd love for you to consider purchasing the naming rights to something at the new DCH. The money received from the naming rights goes directly to help supplement the construction costs for 3036 Elm to make it the bestest, most dreamiest comedy house in all the land. If you have questions about the theater naming rights or remaining classrooms/patio, feel free to reach out to me directly: email@example.com. I'd love to talk to you about naming rights and how it can help us move this project.
Graduation: Wednesday, June 19th @ 7p at LIFE IN DEEP ELLUM!

Let's show these grads all the love and support for their big night! Bonus: The Venue at LIDE is GINORMOUS! We have the ability to pack that place out real hard for this group, so let's do it! And then we can jam afterwards.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for being you. Thanks for your patience with us while we're in the home stretch of this transition.
