Comedy is personal. It is deeply rooted in our own identity and how we see the world. Our jobs as people, and especially as comedians, is to continually learn and grow in both our understanding of self and our understanding of others.
Below are resources and readings to support and supplement your learning at Dallas Comedy House. If you have additional resources you wish to be included, please e-mail them to [email protected]. Special shout-out to our 2019 Diversity Council for compiling these resources to share, spearheaded by Kristen Bolten-Keys and Nathaniel Weathersby. Additionally, if you ever feel there is an issue that needs to be addressed in the theater or training center, please do not hesitate to fill out an incident report form. |
