September 'Back to School' Workshops
As kiddos dawn their freshly packed backpacks and teachers bust out the brand new dry erase markers, we at DCH are also caught up in the 'back to school' frenzy! Coming this September, DCH will be hosting three specialty workshops to further hone your performance skills. We are excited to bring in some powerhouse instructors - both local and national - to be a part of this month of workshops.
Shows, Shows, Shows, & Auditions for Shows Friday night is the opening night of DCH's newest sketch revue, Suspect: A True Crimedy. If you like murder podcasts and comedy - or just murder, or just comedy - chances are you'll love this new show. There will be a photobooth in the lobby for opening weekend. Students get in for free with student IDs (pending available seats). This Sunday at 6:00 PM is the August Pipeline show! If you've never been to a Pipeline, it's a super fun, experimental hour of comedy. Hang out with fellow students and performers and they put up some of the goofiest acts you'll see. Tonight, you can check out the debut of SkyWalker's sketch show at 9:30. You only have two chances to see it (this week and next). If you want to be a part of the next round of Walker Sketch Shows, be sure to submit your writing packed by end of day today (Wednesday 8/16) for consideration. E-mail your packet to [email protected]. Auditions will be this Saturday, 8/19, at noon. DCH Goes to the Movies DCH is proud to be a co-presenter for the comedy shorts block and feature film 'Quality Problems' at the 2nd Annual Women Texas Film Festival. The festival highlights the cinematic work of women and we are excited to be a part of the celebration. Join us at 2:00 for comedy shorts and 8:30 for 'Quality Problems' at the Studio Movie Grill on Northwest Highway. Go women! Go filmmakers! Go Texas!
